Nationwide digital campaign engaging young people on climate change issues. The competition for the best project ideas to combat carbon emissions was targeted at young people aged 7 to 14. Prizes were awarded and presented at an event hosted by the RSA in June 09.

The naming process involved a series of brainstorms which culminated with a workshop with the client. A range of logo concepts were produced and user tested. Carbon Control became the communication hub which young people could tune into during the campaign.
Users can learn about carbon emissions, calculate their own carbon footprint, comment on and post projects. When the campaign had finished over 400,000 users had registerd.

The flash header animation finishes highlighting the most popular projects, the same list appears under the left hand navigation. The right hand column holds the site wide avarage results from the carbon calculator, named The Carbonator.
Characters and a school scene illustrate how high or low users carbon emmissions are for individuals or groups.
Clouds visually illustrate carbon emmissions levels while users use the Carbonator. Users can re-calculate their emmissions
